What a front cover should consist of

Front cover:
The front cover of a music magazine should consist of a title, sub-headings, articles within the magazine, a colour scheme and small pictures which are often also used in an article within the magazine but they are blown up to a bigger size. The title should be bold and clear and also match the colour scheme if one is being used. This will gain the readers attention and make it look more attractive to the reader and any potential buyer. Sub-headings should also be clear and bold but a smaller font size to the title to show the title takes priority. However, the sub-headings are extremely important as it would be one of the main selling points as anybody looking at the front cover would read the sub-headings if they were clear and attractive and straight to the point. By this I mean it says what the article in the magazine is about and it will promote it by looking interesting and sounding interesting. This would help the magazine come across as in interesting magazine as a whole. A colour scheme is vital in a magazine as it helps represent the genre of the magazine. If a magazine consistently uses the same colour scheme throughout different issues then the reader picks up a familiarity with that magazine and becomes accustom to it and will enjoy it more than changing the style of the magazine every issue and having to readjust to the colour scheme.
